*I am posting the exact same description from my art journal page*

These were the first things I ever used for journaling. And I adored them. They are simple and to the point. I used to write, draw and glue all kinds of things inside of them. And if you Mod Podge several pages together, you can probably paint on them as well.

While you can buy these on Amazon, the best place to buy them is Walmart, especially during back to school sales. You can get them as low as fifty cents. If you are opposed to Walmart, you can try the Dollar Tree and get them for a dollar each. Amazon charges a lot more. Last time I looked, it was about $9 for a four pack on there.

Pages: 240

Price: Under $10

You can’t go wrong with basic black, right? If you just want to write, and write NOW, without having to leave the house to do it, this is probably exactly what you’re looking for. Otherwise, you can get a cheaper one from Walmart.

Product: Soar Journal

Dimensions: 6.25″ X 8.25″

Pages: 160

Price: Under $10

Best Place to Buy: Amazon

If you thought the black one above was too boring, you can invest in this one. It’s a regular journal, just a more inspiring cover. It was eye catching to me, which is why I added it here in this list. Writing is a very freeing activity to me and I thought the “Soar” title was very appropriate.

Again, I just added it as another option if you wanted something prettier but didn’t want to leave the house to get it. Otherwise, you can find pretty writing journals for at least a couple dollars less at Walmart.

Product: Start Where You Are: A Journal for Self Exploration

Dimensions: 5.5″ X 7.5″

Price: $12

I do not have this book but I want it. I browsed through the first pages on Amazon and found it pretty, calming, colorful and insightful. This is not just a blank journal waiting for you to fill it up completely. It offers writing prompts to get you going and discover things about yourself. As a mother, I don’t get a whole lot of me time. So, I think this journal would be a very helpful addition to my collection.
